"Every kind of repair banned in village

People living in Eskişehir's Ballıhisar village are not permitted to carry out even the slightest repairs on their houses because the site has been a first-degree archaeological site since 1980. To date, nearly 100 villagers have been punished for repairing their houses. The state has offered them land nearby, but it has not granted permission to build houses there"
