Konya takes lion’s share of EU grants
"Konya takes lion’s share of EU grants

Konya has benefited from European Union grants more than any other city in Turkey, according to data from the Central Finance and Contracts Unit (MFİB), which manages pre-accession EU grants to Turkey.

According to MFİB data, interest in EU grants has been steadily increasing in Turkey. Until now, 1,948 grant contracts worth a total 232 million euros have been signed between MFİB and Turkish applicant cities for regional development and civil society improvement programs."
